Christopher Coe was selected in an open competition from over
1,600 other architects to design the new AIA LA chapter offices.
In addition to providing his services on a pro bono basis, he also
secured donations of labor, building materials, furniture, cabinetry,
lighting and flooring worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Beyond providing a modern, functional office environment, the goal
of the new design was to inform and educate chapter members and
the general public about the process of architecture and the mission
of the AIA through the exhibits displayed throughout the space.
